Fibreglass resurfacing will be the last resurface you will need to do to your pool.

This is how we do it...

  • Pool water is pumped out and the liner and clip band is removed
  • The surface is prepared for Fibreglass resurfacing.
  • A Vinyl Ester primer coat (substrate adhesion coat) is applied
  • We then apply Vinyl Ester / Fibreglass reinforced laminate
  • Then we coat the laminate with Vinyl Ester filler coat (chemical barrier and enhances the quality of the finished surface)
  • Then Aquaguard ® top coat, the waxy colourful protective barrier.
  • After the filling of your swimming pool you will be ready to dive in and enjoy your ‘new pool’.

Vinyl Liner Repair Tips

Liner Bead Coming Out of the Track

Pool liners are designed to fit snugly. If installed off-center or improperly sized, the bead may pop out of the track.
You can stretch and reseat the liner using a heat gun, hair dryer, or boiling water. It often involves a lot of tugging, and if the liner is significantly out, you may need to lower the water level. Work in small sections to avoid draining too much.
Caution: Always keep dryers moving and away from water—risk of electrocution if dropped.

Liner Losing Colour

Sun exposure and harsh chemicals will fade liner colour over time. Avoid concentrated chemicals, which strip plasticisers, making the vinyl brittle.

Vinyl Liner Leaking

Leaks are common, especially as liners age. Most are 20 mil thick (some are 30+ mil). Patch visible holes with a vinyl patch kit—use a “wet” kit for underwater fixes.
If you’re adding more than 1″ of water weekly (not from splashing or backwash), you likely have a leak. Don’t ignore it—leaks can erode backfill, corrode walls, or cause sinkholes.
Important:
Never drain a vinyl pool or let the water drop below the wall. The water keeps the liner pressed in place.
An empty pool risks wall collapse or floor damage from rainwater.
Resetting a liner requires a vacuum to pull the liner into place during refill. Expect a few hundred dollars in labor.
Never add undiluted granular chemicals like pH decreaser or calcium hypochlorite directly to the pool—they can bleach and weaken the liner.
